Description
Two-day Loire Experience Tour
When one day is not enough, why not stay two days?
Staying a night or two in the Loire Valley will enable you to experience so much more, both during your tour but also in the evenings after the tour. Choose a hotel locally and we will pick you up in the morning and drop you off at the end of the day.
With two days at our disposal we can head off in different directions each day, down the Loire to the western vineyards of Chinon and Bourgueil, tasting great red wines and visiting the ancient city of Chinon; taking in a chateau from the many in the region.
The second day sees us up river, or perhaps on the Cher, marvelling at the Renaissance palace at Chenonceaux and tasting the wines of the Touraine. Each day involves both sight-seeing and wine tasting and of course we stop for a relaxed lunch at a typical French restaurant.
Your guide is with you all day, each day and will help with translations, while explaining local life, history and culture. In common with our other tours we can adapted and change the itinerary according to your preferences but in every case we aim to show you the “hidden France” that we have discovered after years living and working in the region.
