By submitting your payment for any tour, including all activities and attractions, you are accepting these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
1.1 These general conditions of contract govern the contractual relationship between you and Loire Valley Wine Tour in respect of guided tours organized by us.
1.2 A contract is concluded once Loire Valley Wine Tour has accepted a booking you have made in writing (letter, email or via the internet) or by telephone.
2.1 Loire Valley Wine Tour is the trading name for the services offered by Colin & Marie-Chantal Elliott.
2.2 Loire Valley Wine Tour is based at: 45 rue de Varennes, 36210 Chabris, France
2.3 Colin & Marie-Chantal Elliott trade under the French 'auto-entrepreneur' scheme and pay taxes in France.
2.4 Services offered by Loire Valley Wine Tour are subject to French and European law. Any disputes arising from the provision of these services will be dealt with under French law.
3.1 A deposit of 50% of the total tour price is required to secure your place on a tour.
3.2 In the event of non-payment of deposit we will not guarantee your place on a tour and reserve the right to cancel the booking.
3.3 Deposit payments may only be made in € either by money transfer or credit / debit card.
3.4 Payment of the remaining tour fee must be made in cash on the day of the tour. If balance payment by credit card is offered, a 5% supplement will be charged.
3.5 We reserve the right to change prices without notice in response to tax changes, additional costs or other operational reasons until and unless a tour is paid in full.
By submitting your payment for any tour, including all activities and attractions, you are accepting these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
4.1 We only take a 50% deposit before the tour. Refunds of this deposit for cancelled tours will be made on the following basis -
Cancellation received and acknowledged by LVWT:
# up to 6 weeks before the booked tour date: total deposit refund (50% of tour cost)
# 6 weeks or less before the booked tour date: no deposit refund.
4.2 Refunds will be made via Paypal and all charges relating to payment and refund will be borne by the client.
4.3 Any unadvised reduction in numbers on the date of the tour will not alter the fee for the booked tour already calculated.
5.1 The maximum waiting time of the guides is 30 minutes. In the event of a late arrival the duration of the tour will be reduced accordingly. After this time it will be assumed you will not be turning up for your tour.
5.2 If the client for the booked tour does not arrive then LVWT will:
i. Make no refund
and reserves the right to:
ii. Levy a cancellation fee amounting to the balance of the tour price.
6.1 Tour programmes may be altered in unforeseeable circumstances. Loire Valley Wine Tour will do all it can to offer alternative, equally satisfactory arrangements or another solution in such cases.
6.2 Loire Valley Wine Tour is entitled to cancel tours in cases of force majeure (e.g. natural catastrophes, unrest, strikes) or in the event of government action, accidents, technical defects, illness, etc. Amounts already paid to LVWT will be reimbursed but no compensation or out of pocket expenses will be paid.
By submitting your payment for any tour, including all activities and attractions, you are accepting these Terms and Conditions in their entirety.
7.1 Our exclusive tours are organised for up to a maximum six guests. Clients who book one or two places should be aware that additional guests may join your group.
7.2 For the benefit of everyone LVWT reserves the right to accept or reject any tour participant and to remove any client whose conduct is deemed incompatible with the interests of other clients, the public, suppliers or staff. LVWT will not refund or cover any cost or expenses incurred for termination of tour arrangements due to unacceptable behaviour.
You must report any disability requiring special attention while on tour to Loire Valley Wine Tour at the time the reservation is made. LVWT will make reasonable attempts to accommodate the special needs of disabled travellers, but is not responsible in the event it is unable to do so nor responsible for any denial of services by carriers, hotels, restaurants, or other independent suppliers. LVWT cannot provide individual assistance to clients for walking, dining, getting on and off vehicles, or other personal needs. LVWT strongly recommends a qualified and physically able companion must accompany travellers who need such assistance. All travellers with LVWT are subject to the Participation clause above.
Loire Valley Wine Tour co-ordinates and arranges the numerous and various services of sub-contractors and vendors before and during a tour. This includes restaurants, activity providers and the owners of vineyards, chateaux ,gardens and other attractions visited. Any and all persons or companies engaged in conducting such support services are NOT employees of LVWT. Therefore, LVWT assumes no liability whatsoever for any loss or accident, loss or damage of personal property, delays, inconveniences, expenses of any kind or injury to the persons traveling on the tour. Additionally, LVWT is not responsible for the default or negligence caused by any person or company engaged in providing any service for a tour, or by any strike, work stoppage, acts of Providence, weather or other events beyond our control. LVWT reserves the right to cancel or alter any tour when circumstances demand or require.
The Loire Valley produces wine in a wide range of colours and styles. Our tours give you a unique opportunity to taste these wines, look at the production facilities and often meet the owners. As enthusiasts ourselves, we make a point of seeking out the best.
